International Judo Federation (IJF) confirms the list of judo fighters to participate in the Olympic Games. Twenty-one athletes are included in each category.
Armenia’s Hovhannes Davtyan (60 kg) is ranked 10th, while Armen Nazaryan (66 kg) is the 16th. IJF will confirm the final list in late May.
Armenia’s Judo team currently participates in trainings in Jermuk town. Afterwards the team will leave for Antalya to participate in the joint trainings along with European judo fighters, then will take part in a tournament in Czech Republic and hold final trainings in Yerevan prior to the Games.
Armenia has 21qualifications for the London Olympics so far. Armenia had 25 representatives and won 6 bronze medals at 2008Beijing Olympics.
