Manuel Neuer, the star goalkeeper of Germany and Bayern Munich, is making his 18th appearance in the finals of the European football championship, which is a record for goalkeepers.
Neuer, 38, surpassed former Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who had played 17 matches in the European championships.
Germany are playing against Switzerland in the third match of the group stage of the UEFA Euro 2024, which they are hosting, and are behind 0-1 after the first half.
