Belgium's head coach Domenico Tedesco reacted to the fans' whistling in the third round match of the group stage of Euro 2024. Belgium drew 0-0 with Ukraine.
"Of course we are surprised that the fans booed us. We lost the first game, but then we played great against Romania and the fans were happy.
It was a tough game against Ukraine, but we were determined to win. The players gave their best effort. We could have scored a goal early on, but if the fans are whistling, we have to live with it," ESPN quoted Tedesco as saying.
The Belgian team finished second in Group E and will face vice world champion France in the 1/8 finals on July 1. Romania took the first place, Slovakia entered the playoffs from the third place. Ukraine withdrew from the competition. All four teams scored 4 points each.
