What Arsenal squad number will wear Henrikh Mkhitaryan?

Midfielder of Manchester United and Armenian national team Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to be transferred to Arsenal, but what squad number he will wear is unclear.

"The Armenian - who will move to London as Alexis Sanchez heads to Old Trafford - currently wears the No. 22 at United.

"The Red Devils secured his signature from Borussia Dortmund and Mkhitaryan donned the No. 10 shirt in the Bundesliga.

"He couldn’t wrestle that number off Zlatan Ibrahimovic at United and won’t be wearing it at Arsenal either.

"Jack Wilshere currently wears No. 10 in the red half of north London and Jeff Reine-Adelaide has No. 22," Daily Star reported.

The edition noted that Mkhitaryan does have other options though.

"The No. 15 shirt, which was previously worn by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, is free. Theo Walcott’s £20m move to Everton has now been completed, so his old No. 14 is up for grabs. Mkhitaryan could always grab Sanchez’s No. 7 top," Daily Star said.

According to earlier reports, Adidas stores have begun to sell Manchester United shirts with Alexis Sanchez's name printed on the back.

Manchester United and Arsenal are expected to announce the deal soon when Mkhitaryan will move to Arsenal, while Alexis Sanchez in the opposite direction.

Some reports suggested that the only issue, which is standing in the way of the deal, is financial problem. The 28-year-old Armenian midfielder joined MU training on Thursday.

During the media conference earlier today, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said he liked “that player”.
