Titleholders Manchester City were hosted by Brighton and won 4-0 in the 29th round of the English Premier League.
Man City's Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring in the 17th minute. Then, English midfielder Phil Foden scored a brace in eight minutes. And Argentinian forward Julian Alvarez netted the games last goal in the second half.
After 33 games, Manchester City rose to second place, with 76 points, in the current Premier League standings, leapfrogging Liverpool (34 games), who have 74 points. The leaders, Arsenal, have 77 points after 34 games. And Brighton (33 games) are eleventh, with 44 points.
