LONDON. – London’s Chelsea FC is planning a fresh bid to Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of German international striker André Schürrle, The Telegraph writes.
Schürrle’s club already rejected an offer of £17 million for the 21-year-old and insisted that he would stay with them. But Chelsea are considering their next move with an improved offer of around £20 million. Soon the sides will commence their talks.
To note, André Schürrle had transferred from Mainz 05 to Bayer Leverkusen in 2011.
And there are rumors in the British media that Schürrle’s transfer to Chelsea could lead to the departure of English striker Daniel Sturridge from the club this summer.
