23rd Armenian athlete qualifies for London Olympics

YEREVAN. – Armenia’s long jumper Arsen Sargsyan performed excellently, at the national athletic championships, and as a result he booked a spot in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.   

The 27-year-old athlete jumped 8.20 meters, and thus passed the Olympic qualification requirement by 10 centimeters.

Now, Armenia will have four track and field athletes competing in the Olympics, the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Press Secretariat informs.    

So far, 23 Armenian athletes have qualified for London 2012.
