Armenia national football squad and FC Metallurg Donetsk (Ukraine) midfielder Gevorg Ghazaryan on Tuesday underwent a medical examination at Olympiacos F.C. (Greece), the Gazzetta Greece reported.
According to the source, Ghazaryan’s signing a three-year deal with the club will be announced on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old Armenia international and his agent, Mino Raiola, are in the Greek capital city Athens since Tuesday. FC Amkar Perm (Russia) likewise were interested in Gevorg Ghazaryan’s services, but Raiola, who is also the agent of Armenian international and Borussia Dortmund (Germany) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, had advised Ghazaryan to play for Olympiacos.
