YEREVAN. – The 2012 European Weightlifting Championships will be held in Antalya, Turkey, between April 6 and 16, and Armenia’s men’s team likewise will participate in the event.
But Armenia’s top weightlifters and the women’s team will not attend the championship, and they are currently preparing for the London Olympics on individual programs.
And prior to the Championships, the European Weightlifting Federation will convene a report presentation-election forum in Antalya. This event will bring together the representatives from 51European countries, including Armenia’s Weightlifting Federation President Samvel Khachatryan, and Secretary General Pashik Alaverdyan, National Olympic Committee of Armenia Press Secretariat informs.
