The English national football team have tested a new system, with three central defenders, during their training sessions in Germany, reports The Daily Mail.
England manager Gareth Southgate plans to play against Switzerland with a 3-5-2 formation in the quarterfinals of UEFA Euro 2024. Switzerland also use the same system.
England had used the 3-5-2 formation in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The England vs. Switzerland quarterfinal match will be played Saturday in Dusseldorf.
