Carlos Alcaraz, the world number one, could not reach the semifinals of the Masters tournament held in Paris. The 19-year-old Spanish tennis player competed against the Danish Holger Rune and on the tie-break of the second set gave up the fight due to injury: 3:6, 6:6 (1:3, incomplete).
In the semifinals, Holger Rune's opponent will be French-Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, who defeated American Frances Tiafoe 6:1, 6:4.
The prize fund of the Paris Masters is 5.4 million euros.
