World No. 17 Karen Khachanov (Russia) has reached the quarterfinals of the Monte-Carlo Masters.
The Muscovite Armenian tennis player faced world No. 4 Daniil Medvedev (Russia) in the Round of 16 and won in two sets—6:3, 7:5. The match lasted 1 hour and 53 minutes.
Khachanov's quarterfinal opponent will be the winner of the clash between world No. 5 Alexander Zverev (Germany) and world No. 12 of Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) in the Round of 16.
The prize fund of the Monte-Carlo Masters is 5.9 million euros.
