Armenian freestyle wrestler Arsen Harutyuynan, competing in the 61kg weight category, became champion at the European Wrestling Championship. Georgian Beka Lomtadze was Arsen Harutyunyan’s rival.
In the semifinals of the European freestyle wrestling championship in Bucharest, the European champion among the youth won the Romanian Nikolai Okhlopkov 10-4.
In the qualifying round, the 19-year-old Armenian wrestler defeated 14-8 the Ukrainian Volodymyr Borukov (14-8), and in the quarterfinal defeated Turkish Recep Topal - 5-2.
