“Khimki Motorsport” racing team’s driver Yuri Semenchev, 49, died in Smolensk, which is located southwest of Moscow.
The tragedy occurred during the sixth stage of the Russian circuit racing series, the Russian Racing Championship (RSS). During the race, Semenchev’s car went off the race circuit and crashed into the railings. Subsequently, Semenchev was taken to hospital, where, however, he lost his life, Vzglyad informs. Yuri Semenchev had first raced in RSS in 2010.
