Juventus’ Portugal star forward Cristiano Ronaldo has accepted his guilt in the tax fraud case.
The Spanish tax service had accused the former Real Madrid footballer of tax evasion totaling €14.7 million, from 2011 to 2014.
According to Football Italia, Ronaldo has been sentenced to 23 months in prison for tax fraud. But according to Spanish law, the 33-year-old player will avoid imprisonment and pay an €18.8m fine.
The captain of the Portuguese national squad played at Real between 2009 and 2018.
