Armenian national team’s Brazilian midfielder Marcos Pizzelli, who plays his club football at Aktobe (Kazakhstan), has been named Armenia’s Footballer of the Year for 2018.
The Football Federation of Armenia has summed up the respective voting results and, accordingly, Pizzelli, 34, has garnered 171 points.
Armenia national squad captain and Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan came in second place, with 119 points.
And SSV Jahn Regensburg (Germany) forward Sargis Adamyan rounded up the top three, with 32 points.
Marcos Pizzelli had scored 18 goals in 24 appearances in the Kazakhstan Premier League season that wrapped up; and he was named the best player, top scorer, and scorer of the best goal of that season.
