Armenia’s U-20 national team concluded its campaign at the Mirabror Usmanov Friendly Tournament held in Tashkent.
Misha Jorkaeff’s side played three matches. In their opening game, Armenia’s U-20 team suffered a 1–5 defeat to their Uzbek counterparts. Armenia’s only goal was scored by CSKA Yerevan player Artur Manukyan, reports the FFA website.
The match against Russia’s U-19 national team ended in a goalless draw in regular time. Armenia proved more accurate in the post-match penalty shootout, winning 5–3.
In the final match against Saudi Arabia’s U-20 national team, no goals were scored in regular time either. However, this time the opponents prevailed in the penalty shootout, winning 5–4.
