Stefano Sorrentino is in hospital with a fractured nose

Chievo goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino is in hospital with a fractured nose and suspected head trauma after the 3-2 defeat to Juventus, Football Italia reported.

He was knocked out during a collision with Cristiano Ronaldo, for which Mario Mandzukic’s goal was disallowed.

Sorrentino was stretchered off and his replacement Andrea Seculin immediately conceded the decisive goal from Federico Bernardeschi.

According to the latest reports, there is a fracture to his nose, but so far tests for head trauma have come back negative.
