Europa League winner Atletico Madrid will receive 26 million euros from UEFA for the performance in European competition this season, AS reported.
Atletico’s 3-0 victory over Marseille will enrich the Spanish club by 6.5 million euros, while for reaching the semi-finals, Atletico will receive 1.6 million euros, and for entering the quarterfinals - another million. For the performance in the group stage of the Champions League, Atletico Madrid will receive 16.3 million euros.
It was the third time for Atletico to win the Europa League tournament.
