Arsene Wenger reveals why Henrikh Mkhitaryan started on the bench against Swansea

Arsene Wenger has revealed why Henrikh Mkhitaryan was dropped for tonight's game with Swansea, Express reported.

He has suggested Mkhitaryan could have to wait to make his debut after being benched for the game at Swansea.

When asked about Mkhitaryan and Jack Wilshere’s absence from the starting XI, Wenger said: “They are both on bench and I think we have a similar team.

“Mkhitaryan has to adapt so we give him some time. He’s not played the full 90 minutes for a long time but looks quite sharp and ready to play."

Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is among the reserve players.

As reported earlier, Mkhitaryan signed a long-term contract with Arsenal and will wear the No.7 shirt. Henrikh Mkhitaryan reportedly will celebrate his debut un the match against Swansea that will kick off 23:45 Yerevan time, Tuesday.
