Olympic flame was out for several hours

LONDON. – Organizers of the 2012 London Olympics turned off the Olympic flame for a few hours because it was to be transferred to other corner of the Olympic Stadium, the BBC informs.   

The Olympic flame was turned off on Sunday evening and it was lit again on Monday morning. The Olympic flame comprises 205 petal-shaped copper stems. And each of the 205 countries participating in the Olympics will take one stem each to their homes on closing day of the event.   

To note, 25 athletes are representing Armenia at the 2012 London Olympics, which officially kicked off on July 27 and they will come to a close on August 12.
