Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian won the third round 1 game against Maxim Matlakov (Russia) at the 2017 World Chess Cup, taking place in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The winner and finalist of the tournament will be qualified to the 2018 candidates' tournament.
