Candidates Tournament: Aronian wins for second time

In Round 6 of the Candidates Tournament for the 2016 World Chess Championship, which is held in the Russian capital city of Moscow, Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian defeated GM Hikaru Nakamura (USA) with white pieces during the 83rd move.

With 4 points, Aronian has now equaled with GM Sergey Karjakin (Russia).

In the previous rounds, Aronian played draws with GM Anish Giri (Netherlands), former World Champion, GM Viswanathan Anand (India), GM Peter Svidler (Russia) and Italian GM Fabiano Caruana (USA), and defeated GM Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria).

Round 7 will be played on Saturday. In this round, Aronian will play with black pieces against Karjakin. Svidler v. Caruana, Nakamura v. Topalov and Giri v. Anand matches will also take place on that day.
