The world’s 39thseed, Argentinean Armenian David Nalbandian was given a technical defeat, at the final of the ATP Queen’s Club tennis open held in London, for injuring a linesman.
In the second set of his match against Croatia’s Marin Cilic, Nalbandian could not return a shot from the Croatian and, in rage, he kicked an advertising panel placed under the legs of a linesman. As a result, the linesman’s leg sustained an injury.
The event organizers decided to call off the match and give a technical defeat to David Nalbandian.
