The German national football squad have booked their place in the quarterfinals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
In their 1/8 final match, Germany defeated Algeria in extra time, and by a score of 2-1. The full 90 minutes of the game had finished in a goalless draw.
In the quarterfinals, Germany will enter the pitch against France. The last remaining African team, Algeria, likewise bid farewell to the World Cup, but they left a good impression.
