Armenian GM Zaven Andriasian scored 6.5 points out of nine and ended the third at Nezhmetdinov Memorial that was held in Kazan, Russia.
Andreasyan was one point behind the leader Russia' s GM Dmitry Kokarev, Armchess reported.
At another tournament in Bulgaria, GMs Vladimir Akopian and Hovhannes Gabuzyan scored six points out of eight ahead of tha last round. They are only half a point behind the leader – Bulgaria's Ivan Cheparinov. GM Tigran L. Petrosian has five points.
