YEREVAN. – Armenian capital city Yerevan’s Mika Women’s chess team is competing in the 2013 European Chess Club Cup being held from October 20 to 26 in Rhodes, Greece.
In their first-round match, Mika Chess Club defeated MRU-Vilniaus Fortas of Lithuania by a score of 3-1.
To note, Mika Chess Club comprises grandmasters (GMs) Harika Dronavalli (India), Elina Danielian and Lilit Mkrtchian (Armenia), and Lela Javakhishvili (Georgia).
Eleven club teams are taking part in the women’s tournament.
