Italy goalkeeper Federico Marchetti said a 2-2 draw against Armenia in the World Cup qualifying match is a tight result for his team, Football Italia reported.
“The start was certainly a struggle. Armenia pressed us high and we were unable to play our game, especially with mistakes at the back,” Marchetti told Rai Sport.
He noted that the opening 20 minutes showed that Italian teams needs to grow.
“It’s a shame, as in the second half we reacted and created many scoring opportunities, so overall the draw is a tight result for us,” Football Italia quotes the goalkeeper.
