The 2026 FIDE World Youth Chess Championship has concluded in Montesilvano, Italy the press service of the Armenian Chess Federation reports.
And here are the results of Armenia’s chess players:
In the U14 category, CM Artem Mamikonyan and FM Tyhran Ambartsumian scored 8 points out of 11 and shared 3rd–11th place, finishing 6th and 8th respectively on tiebreaks.
In the U18 category, FM Vache Hovakimyan scored 7.5 points and finished in 7th place. In the same category, IM Benik Agasarov and FM Rudolf Pashikyan scored 6.5 points, while IM Vahe Sukiasyan scored 6 points.
In the G18 category, Anahit Mkrtchyan scored 7 points and shared 12th–19th place, finishing 18th on tiebreaks. In the same category, WFM Nvard Hayrapetyan scored 6 points.
In the U16 category, Tigran Soghomonyan scored 7 points and shared 15th–28th place, finishing 24th on tiebreaks.
In the G14 category, Angelina Mirakyan scored 7 points and shared 14th–22nd place, finishing 22nd on tiebreaks. In the same category, Gabriela Harutyunyan scored 6.5 points.
In the G16 category, WFM Sona Krkyasharyan scored 6.5 points and finished in 22nd place.
