At the European Youth Boxing Championships in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia's national team took the second place among 38 countries in the team fight, winning 3 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze medals.
In the boys' tournament, 8 out of 13 Armenian participants became medalists. Two out of four Armenian athletes won medals in the girls' competition.
Simon Simonyan (48 kg), Samvel Siramargyan (75 kg) and Amest Afrikyan (48 kg) became European champions.
Suzanna Ishkhanyan (46 kg), Arno Darchinyan (50 kg), Tigran Hovsepyan (54 kg), Martin Sahakyan (60 kg), Alex Petrosyan (63 kg) and Artem Stepanyan (66 kg) won silver medals.
Hrach Khachatryan took the third place (+80 kg).
