The Florida Panthers have won the National Hockey League (NHL) Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history.
In the finals, the Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers, who had managed to win three games after losing the first three games of the series and force the latter to the decisive game.
But the Panthers won 2-1 in Game 7.
