Cristiano Bergodi is appointed as the new coach of the Italian Serie A newcomer Pescara, Football Italia reports.
Bergodi will be presented to the media on Tuesday afternoon and he will replace Giovanni Stroppa in this job.
The former defender, who spent five years with Pescara as a player, has agreed to a deal until the end of the season.
Bergodi, who also appeared for Lazio, has never bossed in Serie A. He worked for Modena in the second tier last term.
Pescara are in relegation trouble in 17th place having picked up just 11 points so far this season.
