European Women’s Chess Championship: Team Armenia play 6th round

The 6th-round games were played Thursday, after a day's rest at the European Women’s Chess Championship 2024 being held in Greece.

Among the four representatives of Armenia, only Elina Danielian won in this round; her opponent was Maria Manakova (Serbia).

Lilit Mkrtchian drew with Yelyzaveta Hrebenshchykova (Ukraine), Mariam Mkrtchyan—with Fiona Sieber (Germany), and Susanna Gaboyan—with Anastasia Kirtadze (Georgia).

Currently, Lilit Mkrtchian shares the 21st-45th places, with 4 points; Mariam Mkrtchyan and Elina Danielian share the 46th-73rd places, with 3.5 points each; and Susanna Gaboyan shares the 74th-112th places, with 3 points.

Ten rounds with the Swiss System will be played at the European Women’s Chess Championship.

The prize fund of this tournament is 60 thousand euros.

Also, the European Women’s Chess Championship is a qualifier for the Women's Chess World Cup. According to preliminary data, at least ten female chess players will have the right to participate in this competition.

The European Women’s Chess Championship 2024 will conclude on April 29.
