Henrikh Mkhitaryan: My son is 4 years old but already plays football at home

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the former captain of the Armenian national football team and the midfielder of current Italian Serie A leaders Inter Milan, told in an interview on the FROG TALKS series of the club's YouTube channel with Andrea Ranocchia, the former player of Inter and the Italian national team, that his four-year-old son plans to become a football player.

"I have always said that after retiring [from professional football] I want to stay in Milan, but my son plays football.

Everything depends on it. My son is four years old, but he already plays football at home. I train with the team, then I train with my son at home. My son can start training in Milan. My daughter is eight months old.

I have no desire to become a football coach. I have already spent my time on the pitch. Coaching requires more time, analysis, discussions with players. No, I don't want to [become a coach]. Maybe, the work of sports director is more possible," said Mkhitaryan.

The 35-year-old footballer’s current contract with Inter runs until June 2026.
