Barcelona star and Ballon d'Or favorite Lionel Messi has described Brazilian Ronaldo as his hero.
The new father, speaking to UK Four Four Two publication, was referring to former Barca, Real Madrid and Brazil striker Ronaldo Nazario de Lima, who said yesterday that he would vote for Messi to win the Golden Ball.
“Ronaldo was my hero. I loved seeing players like Zidane, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo, but Ronaldo is the best striker I've ever seen. I've never seen anyone hit a ball like him,” Messi said, Football Espana reports.
Ronaldo said yesterday that he would vote for Messi to win the Golden Ball.
