Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the former captain and midfielder of the Armenian national football squad, was among the Inter starters and was subbed off in the 90th minute.
Inter are second, with 44 points, in the current Serie A standings and 15 points behind the leaders, Napoli. Sampdoria are the penultimate, with 11 points.
