Belgian midfielder Axel Witsel, who left Borussia Dortmund, will continue his professional football career at Atletico Madrid. This was announced by the president of the Spanish club, Enrique Cerezo, Mundo Deportivo reports.
"Witsel is already ours. Practically everything is ready. We have to wait a few days for the official announcement," Cerezo said.
Witsel, 33, is now a free agent, and he was playing for Dortmund since 2018.
