Portuguese star forward Cristiano Ronaldo has increased the number of his goals scored in the national team to 111, becoming the all-time top international goalscorer.
In Wednesday’s 2022 World Cup qualifier against Ireland, Portugal won 2-1 thanks to both goals netted by Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has broken the respective record held until now by Iranian football legend Ali Daei, who had retired with 109 goals under his name.
Cristiano Ronaldo on Wednesday made his 180th appearance for Portugal.
