Roma head coach Paulo Fonseca commented on the 1-3 defeat against Inter Milan in the 36th round of the Italian football season, Football Italia reported.
“We let Inter come out on the counterattack in the first half and they scored immediately,” Fonseca told RomaTV. “However, the team reacted well and we played a good second half, creating several chances.
“The result is heavy for what we have done. The team have shown character, we never stopped playing and attacking.
“We created a lot against the best defence in the League. The team tried and I saw the courage I wanted.
“I expected Inter to try to play on the counterattack, and that’s what happened.”
“We have a lot of desire, we want to recover our strength and then we want to win the derby.”
