World Cup qualifiers: Iceland train under snow in Yerevan

Iceland have held a pre-match training session in Yerevan ahead of their second-round match against the host nation, Armenia, in Group J of the European competitions of the group stage in the qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup to be held in Qatar.

The Icelandic footballers, however, trained under the snow.

The Football Federation of Armenia went on Twitter, posted a video of this training session, and made the following comment: "Welcome to ... home?"

Prior to their training session, Iceland manager Arnar Vidarsson and captain Aron Gunnarsson held an online pre-match press conference.

The Armenia vs. Iceland clash on Sunday and will start at 8pm Armenia time.

In their first matches of the qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup, Armenia defeated Liechtenstein 1-0, whereas Iceland lost 0-3 to Germany.
