Armenia’s Aronian second in FIDE list

Armenian GM Levon Aronian is ranked the second in a new FIDE ranking list as of August 1, 2012.

Top ten has not undergone any changes. Aronian is preceded by Norway’s Magnus Carlsen.

10 Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine)

Aronian was one of the participants of  World Chess Championship 2012 but was knocked out in the first round.
