Australian Open: Nadal starts with a victory, Venus Williams loses

The world's first racket Rafael Nadal triumphs in the first tournament of the Grand Slam in Melbourne, Australia's Open Championship.

Spanish tennis player defeated the representative of Dominican Republic Victor Estrella Burgos in three sets. The game lasted 1hour 37 minutes and a score of 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 was recorded.

In the second tourney Argentinian Leonardo Mayer will compete against Nadal.

Venus Williams, the 5th racket of the world had a sensational defeat in Women’s tournament. American tennis player was defeated by the representative of Switzerland Belinda Bencic with scores of 3-6, 5-7. Last year Venus Williams was playing in the finals.

Roger Federer will defend the title of the winner in men’s tournament, while and the current winner of women’s tournament Serena Williams will not play this year.
