Russia’s No.2 ranked tennis player, Karen Khachanov, has won his first match at the Auckland Open in New Zealand.
In Monday’s round of 32, the 21-year-old Muscovite Armenian defeated Yūichi Sugita (Japan) in three sets.
In the next round, Khachanov will face the winner of the Pablo Cuevas (Uruguay)-Guido Pella (Argentina) pairing.
