Manchester United FC manager José Mourinho stated that midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has been excluded from the club’s recent matches, could return to the pitch during their English Football League Cup quarterfinal against Bristol City F.C.
The Portuguese specialist said the Armenian national team captain could play in this game, reported ESPN. But he reiterated that now it is difficult for Mkhitaryan to find a spot in the starting XI of the Red Devils, and added that they need to maintain the balance at the bench.
The Bristol City vs. Man United clash on Wednesday will kickoff at 11:55am Armenia time.
Mourinho recently announced that the English club will try to sell Mkhitaryan, 28, in winter.
Man United are prepared to part ways with the Armenian international for £35million.
