FIDE Grand Prix Geneva: Armenia’s Aronian to face Giri of Netherlands

The seventh-round games will be played Thursday at the Geneva FIDE Grand Prix 2017 chess tournament, which is held in Switzerland.

In this round, Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian (Armenia) will face GM Anish Giri (Netherlands).
All matches in this round will get underway at 4pm Armenia time.

After six rounds, Aronian, who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia, shares 8th to 13th places, with 3 points.

Eighteen chess players are competing in this nine-round tournament.
