Two Armenian athletes took part in the World Taekwondo Championship held in Muju, South Korea.
In 68 kg weight category, Sergey Vardazaryan beat Cuban Fermin Quesada (24-15) in 1/64 finals but lost to Iranian Abolfazl Yaghoubi in the following bout (4-27).
In 74 kg weight category, Davit Vardumyan gained advantage over Bhutan representative Ngawang Younten (26-4) but lost to Croatian Toni Kanaet (5-27) in the following bout, the press-service of the National Olympic Committee Of Armenia reports.
On June 28, the last representative of the Armenian squad, European Champion 2008, silver medalist of last year’s championship Arman Yeremyan (87 kg) will enter into a bout. He will start competing starting from 1/32 finals.
