Undefeated American-Armenian professional boxer Art Hovhannisyan on Friday defeated former WBA Lightweight Champion Miguel Acosta (29-5-2, with 23 KOs) from Venezuela, in Santa Ynez, California.
The ten-round bout was held in the Chumash Casino.
Despite a good start, Hovhannisyan was knocked down in the fifth round, but the Armenian boxer was able to continue the fight and win on points.
So far, Art Hovhannisyan has fought fifteen bouts in the professional ring and has recorded as many wins, Boxingscene informs.
