UZHHOROD. – FC Hoverla of Uzhhorod city, which is a newcomer to the Ukrainian Premier League, acquired German international winger David Odonkor, who used to play at Borussia Dortmund.
The 28-year-old footballer signed a one-year contract with the Ukrainian club, but the agreement can be extended for one more year, FC Hoverla’s official website informs.
As part of the German national team, Odonkor won a bronze medal at the 2006 World Cup and a silver medal at Euro 2008.
To note, Armenian national football squad’s former defender Yeghishe Melikyan likewise plays for FC Hoverla.
