Chess Olympiad: Armenia's women's team drew with Greece

In the penultimate round of the World Chess Olympiad, which is nearing its conclusion in the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, the Armenian women's team faced Greece. The match ended in a 2–2 draw.

Mariam Mkrtchyan and Elina Danielian secured victories, while Lilit Mkrtchyan and Susanna Gaboyan suffered defeats.

The Armenian women's national team has 15 points and remains in contention for a medal.

In previous rounds, the Armenian female chess players defeated Hong Kong (3.5–0.5), Singapore (3–1), Croatia (4–0), Peru (3–1), Latvia (3–1), Azerbaijan (2.5–1.5), and the USA (2.5–1.5); they lost to Kazakhstan (1–3) and China (1–3). In previous rounds, the Greek team defeated Pakistan (4–0) and Chile (3.5–0.5), lost to India (0.5–3.5), drew with Singapore (2–2), defeated South Korea (3.5–0.5), Finland (2.5–1.5), Estonia (2.5–1.5), and Ukraine (2.5–1.5), and drew with Georgia (2–2).
