Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian (Armenia) and the reining World Champion, GM Magnus Carlsen, (Norway) are the current leaders, with 3.5 apiece, after five rounds in the 2015 Sinquefield Cup chess super tournament, which is held in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
In Thursday’s Round 5, Armenia’s top GM played a draw against GM Alexander Grischuk (Russia), whereas Carlsen defeated GM Wesley So (USA).
Friday is a day of rest at the tournament.
In Saturday’s Round 6, Levon Aronian and Magnus Carlsen will face each other.
